Robert CHEN aka the trainer

Affectionately known as Rob by his clients, Rob has helped hundreds of people across Sydney reach their body composition and performance goals. Rob's passion for helping people started when he was running an auto smash repair shop and when he asked himself how he could help people more he decided to switch gears and get himself qualified as a personal trainer. Six years and hundreds of clients later Rob's vision to help and inspire people become the strongest they can be is realised with the creation of The Strength Lab.

Rob's passion and commitment to his clients and his craft are incomparable and this has led him to continue upskilling himself. Completing a myriad of courses Rob has expertise in hypertrophy, strength training, nutrition, fat loss, pre/post natal, metabolic syndromes including PCOS and exercising to rehabilitate and prevent injury, new and chronic. Rob also consults with other Personal Trainers looking to take their business to the next level.

Charise VILLAREAL aka the physio / pilates instructor / sometimes trainer

Charise's passion for exercise and rehabilitation started when she found herself training in the gym six times a week 16 years ago. Despite having a prosperous career in Finance she decided to pursue her deep desire to help others by completing a Master's of Physiotherapy from the prestigious University of Sydney. Since then she has continued to pursue post-grad qualifications in athletic rehabilitation, women's health (pre and post natal), dry needling and clinical pilates.

Charise has worked with all walks of life including elite athletes, school kids, elderly, officeworkers and anything in between. Her passion lies in enabling you to get out of pain and and stay that way through accurate diagnosis and a comprehensive rehabilitation program that will help you continue feeling good, moving well and be strong.
